Have you ever been seen a striking piece of furniture and thought, I love this but I just can't picture how the rest of the room could be built around it?  I came across this sofa with original vintage fabric and fell in love with the pattern.  To create a room around it, I decided to surround it with a neutral palette that really lets the sofa shine.  A few brass accents bring out the gold tones in the upholstery without overwhelming it.  The great geometric art piece sits off to the side instead of over the sofa, where I placed a pair of mirrors that frame the space while letting the sofa really steal the show.  Don't be shy when shopping for key pieces! It's just a matter of balancing scale of pattern and materials.
